Playa de las Americas: The Place to be

The Playa de las Americas is located on the south coast of Tenerife, called the island of Eternal Spring, in Spain just near the Reina Sofia airport. It is the largest built resort on the island. It has even spread out to include Toviscas and San Eugenio. It neighbors Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos. The beach is a distinctive combination of black volcanic dust and golden sand along with the dramatic mountain ranges that break up the whole island of Tenerife
Playa de las Americas suggest an all year round of sun, just lying off the African coast; the climate tends to be much warmer during the winter season than most continental resorts, thus making it the ideal holiday during the winter months. Although there are occasional rains, rainy season is not so specific in these regions. The island particularly benefits from a refreshingly cool Canary current and its constant trade winds, combined with an average daily temperature of around 60°F to 78°F, this very exceptional weather guarantees a perfect holiday destination all throughout the year.
Tenerife island in itself has an interesting and long history; it was originally inhabited by an ethnic tribe called as the “Guanches”; they were the last to fall, among the Canary Island tribes, to the Spanish”conquistadores” in 1496. Being in the hands of foreign rulers, it attracted settlers coming from Portugal, Spain, France, Britain, and Italy. Tenerife was named by the people after the large El Teide volcano. Playa de las Americas is a purposely built holiday resort in the 1960's together with the town of Los Cristianos. Not much of a cultural history and only slight of the Canarian traditional culture.
Playa de Las Americas takes pride in the Playa de Guincho, which is very much popular with wave surfers and wind surfers, although it is not ideal for sun bathers because of its rocky terrain. Playa De Las Americas offers a large number of quality hotels that provides a very lively atmosphere combined with their superior service. Other interesting sites in Playa De Las Americas include bars and restaurants, sandy beaches and also their aqua park.
Their nightlife is certainly one of things to boast about among the attractions for foreign visitors. One great recommendation is to go ahead to Veronica's to experience one of the best night club experiences in the Canaries. They offers much in varied cuisine lined up with restaurants offering varied dishes such as Mexican, Chinese, English courses and much more, with tapas bars serving the very best of what Tenerife can offer.
If you are more into adventure trekking, take advantage of the Playa De Las Americas' close proximity to their “Parque Nacional del Teide”, it is Tenerife's volcanic national park. Their public bus only runs once a day from the Playa De Las Americas; it is a fact that many visitors wanted to spend more than a day exploring cool forest environment and those mountain slopes because of the breathtaking nature sights.  Aside from taking in those sightseeing activities in the park, you'll soon be also bragging about your visit in the highest mountain known in Spain.
